چکیده

Background Gout is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular comorbidities and premature mortality. Many epidemiologic studies support association between gout diverse diseases. There has been no study on risks mortality in Korean patients large scale data. Therefore, we intended to investigate the each specific disease patient national insurance database. The purpose this gout. Objectives Methods Using National Health Insurance Service data, conducted a cohort patients. were defined as those aged ≥ 20 years who diagnosed 2009 2010, control matched (1:1 ratio) after frequency matching for age, sex index year. Primary outcomes ischemic heart (IHD), acute myocardial infarction (AMI), congestive failure (CHF), cerebrovascular (CVD), cerebral infarction, hemorrhage, or transient attack (TIA). Secondary all-cause We calculated hazard ratio (HR) Cox regression, adjusting potential confounders. Results This included 3,306 equal number controls. Multivariate regression analysis showed that IHD (HR 1.860, 95% CI 1.446-2.392), AMI 3.246, 1.460-7.217), CVD 1.552, 1.177-2.036) sex, laboratory findings, comorbidities, medication (Table 1). However, statistical differences not found CHF, TIA, mortality, Table 1. proportional HRs Outcome HR P-value Ischemic 1.860 1.446-2.392 <0.001 Acute 3.246 1.460-7.217 0.004 Congestive 1.399 0.853-2.295 0.183 Cerebrovascular 1.552 1.177-2.046 0.002 Cerebral 1.061 0.687-1.637 0.790 hemorrhage 0.779 0.283-2.145 0.629 Transient 1.233 0.651-2.336 0.521 All-cause 1.199 0.737-1.952 0.465 Cardiovascular 1.377 0.452-4.188 0.573 HR, ratio; CI, confidence interval. Conclusion Our increased, especially IHD, CVD. References [1]Kuo CF, See LC, Luo SF, Ko YS, Lin et al. 2010. Gout: independent factor Rheumatology (Oxford ) 49:141-6 [2]Kuo SF. 2017. securitization of mortality risks in life annuities

insurers have in the past few decades faced longevity risks - the risk that annuitants survive more than expected - and therefore need a new approach to manage this new risk. in this dissertation we survey methods that hedge longevity risks. these methods use securitization to manage risk, so using modern financial and insurance pricing models, especially wang transform and actuarial concepts, ...

Association of incident gout and mortality in dialysis patients.

Previous studies have shown that gout is associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular mortality in the general population, but this has not been well studied in patients with ESRD. In this study, the incidence of gout and its association with mortality was evaluated in 259,209 patients in the United States Renal Data System. Overall, the incidence of gout in the first year of dialysis w...

Visceral adiposity index and risks of cardiovascular events and mortality in prevalent hemodialysis patients

BACKGROUND The visceral adiposity index (VAI) is a newly-derived measure of visceral adiposity with well-validated predictive power for cardiovascular (CV) outcomes in the general population. However, this predictability has not been investigated in hemodialysis patients, and whether VAI is superior to waist circumference (WC) and waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) in predicting CV outcomes and survi...
